Having written Wills for over a good long period I am now hearing from clients who instructed me years ago.
For a whole variety of reasons they need their original Will updated.
It can be a change of Executors for example where the originals have died or moved on.
Sometimes it is a change of beneficiaries owing to either family disputes or a healing of rifts. It can be the inclusion of new family members.
A change in personal financial circumstances may mean the cash legacies cannot be met and need altering
A spouse or partner moving into Care may need a unilateral deed of severance to protect property against care fees.
A specific charity may need to be included which has your sympathy.
All of this means that your Will needs to be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure the assets you own eventually reach those you love.
Review regularly! Your Will is not cast in stone!
